Thai Basil Chili Turkey

Stuck in a rut with your Thanksgiving leftovers? Try this Thai Basil Chili Turkey.

2 Tbs vegetable oil
3 cloves chopped garlic
2 sliced white onions
2 Serrano chilis, sliced lengthwise. If you like things spicy, keep all the seeds. I usually leave about half of them in.
2 cups loosely packed fresh basil, Thai basil if you can find it
2 cups or how ever much leftover turkey you want to use up
1 lb package rice noodles or spaghetti

Sauce
3 Tbs soy sauce
3 Tbs fish sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp corn starch

  1. Whisk cornstarch and sugar in a small bowl, set aside
  2. In wok or large skillet, heat oil over high heat
  3. Add garlic and chilis and stir for 30 seconds - no more!
  4. Add onions and stir fry for a few minutes, until the onions start to turn translucent
  5. Add cooked turkey and basil. stir in until basil wilts
  6. Mix in sauce and continue cooking until it thickens up a bit and turkey is heated through
  7. Serve over noodles cooked as per package instructions

Gallery Wall on the Cheap

Bring order to your photos while being lazy and cheap

I have always liked the efficiency of a gallery wall. Having all the family pictures in one place is cool because we can point to Great Grandma in 1926 and see the same cowlick that our kids have in 2012. I also like having them all in one place because it keeps them from creeping on to every surface in the house. We decided to hang our pictures in the stairwell so we would have plenty of room to add more.
